nesting ?

you know they say when you get to the end of pregnancy, amongst one of the signs that you'll be in labour soon is "nesting"? in other words, it means you have this sudden urge to clean and just tidy your house - well i did just that today. and boy it feels so good. so good but so bloody tiring.

i started off with clearing the fridge. bought some plastic containers from kmart 7$ each, they were amazing ! i threw away leftovers that had been in the fridge for more than a week. some were still good i think but i didnt want to risk feeding anyone leftovers for that long.  seggregated the fruits and veges apart, which gave me way more space in the fridge now. come to think of it, we are only a family of 3, how come our fridge is so damn huge! lol.

anyway, then i moved to our laundry storage. it had heaps of Azhar's stuff and the house's things combined. i got these mosaic baskets from kmart as well for 4$ each (beauty!), oh they were perfect ! now it looks way more organized than what it used to be. lets pray we keep this up in the long run lol.

our house this time comes with loads of storage space which is perfect for our amount of things that we brought over from adelaide, but that also meant we were spoilt with ample space - which led to us buying more and more things we dont actually need (sigh). but that can be fixed. just with better self control bahaha note to self.

anyway, with the whole amount of cleaning, washing, drying, arranging, throwing, i did all this with an active 2 year old constantly asking for attention. i heated up lunch, ate, fed the little man and started my fridge cleaning.

hamza, 1 minute he wants to play ball with me, the next minute he wants grapes. took grapes out, he took a bite of it and decided nah, grapes arent fun. he wanted strawberries instead. cut some strawberries and there he pulls the nah dont want it anymore after 2 bites.

he did ate a LOT during lunch though, which was so satisfying for me to watch cos he hardly eats much these days ( ever since we switched him from breastmilk to fresh milk ) but thats a story for another day. i think i fed him for a good 20 minutes of lunch, (rice, chicken and cabbage soup), he loved it !

he then wanted to have milk, and of course my right arm when he drinks it, so i stopped halfway and entertained him for a bit. did a number 2, so off we go to the bathroom, to clean him, and then change him. he saw me busy arranging in the laundry room, so he decided to play ball in it as well.

i looked at the time, it was almost half past 4, i havent prayed asr yet, so i quickly did, and again had to rush off to the city to pick up azhar from work. thank God Hamza finally decided for a nap on the way to the city - heavy traffic anyways cos it was raining almost the whole day.

it was a quiet and nice drive to the city, slow but calming i had "sleeping at last" playing, absolutely love his voice.

anyway, got home, i then had to quickly cook dinner, at this point my body was already screaming of tiredness, but you got to feed the family dont you. i turn 37 weeks and one day today by the way, hooray ! does that mean things get any easier from here ? well you've read the stuffs i did today, its basically still tht on a normal basis for me. caring for a toddler, cooking, cleaning where i can.

tired is an understatement.

but i did it. and im proud of myself.

hamza's awake now. so i gtg and be a mom again now.
